Timothy's Coffees of the World has announced the purchase of mmuffins Canada Corporation (mCC) from Richmont Corporation of Dallas, Texas. mCC has more than 90 stores across Canada under the mmarvelous mmuffins - mmm. Specialty Bakery & Beverage Co., 13 michael's baguette outlets, and 9 Muffin Break shops primarily in Western canada. The acquisition makes Timothy's the second largest home-grown specialty coffee retailer in Canada, with more than 240 stores nationwide and close to $100 million in sales. mCC provides michel's baguette with ready-bake products and will supply Timothy's stores. The mCC stores will continue to operating under their own name. In January, Timothy's closed its U.S. store, the majority of which were located in New York city.
Timothy's has formed a partnership between Timothy's World Coffee and National Coffee Services & Vending to sell it and distribute Timothy's World Coffee in K-Cups and Fraction packages in the Office Coffee and Foodservice sectors. In Febuary of 2001, Timothy's began packaging and selling their coffee in the K-Cup for the Keurig single-cup brewing system, and has been expanding its Office Coffee and Foodservice channel. National Coffee Services & Vending is a brokerage and consulting company based in Boca Raton, Florida. National Coffee Services & Vending is a leader in the OCS business.
